María B. Ruiz has been a member of the Illustrious Bar Association of Madrid since 2010. She is an expert in Private Law and Public Law, holding a Master’s in Tax Advisory and Taxation, a Master’s in Compliance, a Master’s in Private Law, a postgraduate degree in Data Protection, Security & Cybersecurity, and a certification in Corporate Governance & Law from New York University School of Law. She is also certified in CIPP/E by IAPP and serves as a Data Protection Officer and Project Manager.

She is part of several Boards of Directors of companies she advises, and has been accompanied by clients since she started her legal career.

Along with her tremendous dedication and involvement, she has advised both national and international companies, adapting to the constant changes in society.

With over 9 years of experience in various sectors (Insurance, Banking, Outsourcing, etc.), she has provided advice in Corporate Law, mainly as in-house counsel and in Compliance, where she has been responsible in various multinational companies.

She has been responsible for the area of civil liability, leading a team of over 35 people, and regularly collaborates as a professor with universities, companies, public administrations, and business schools.
